Ingredients
- Roasted gram [Pottukadalai, porikadalai] – 1 cup
- Jaggery [Vellam] – ½ cup
- Green cardamom powder - 1 tsp
- Ghee – ¼ cup
- Cashew nuts & Raisins – 1 tbsp
Preparation
- Heat pan add Pottukadalai gently roast for a min on low flame.
- Then cool it & grind to smooth powder.
- Heat ghee in a pan add raisins, & cashew nuts then roast till light brown then chop & keep it aside
- In a bowl add Roasted gram, jaggery & cardamom powder finely grind
- Add chopped nuts & raisins mix well.
- Heat ghee in a pan
- Add ghee to the mixture mix well then make it equal size ladoos.
- Once its ready garnish with cashews, almonds or pistachios then place it in an airtight container use within 3 days.

Heat pan, add roasted gram
Roast for 3 min on low flame
Now its ready, cut off heat
Transfer to a plate, let it cool
Heat 1 tbsp ghee, add cashews, almonds, raisins, roast till light brown
Now its ready, transfer nuts to a plate, keep it aside
Heat ghee in a pan, keep it aside
Add roasted gram in a mixie jar
Add brown sugar
Add cardamom powder, finely grind
Ground roasted gram mixture ready
Add roasted gram mixture into melted ghee
Mix well [No flame]
Mixture ready
Transfer mixture to a bowl
Make equal size ladoo
Shape ladoo tightly
Garnish with cashews
Glossy, soft, melt in mouth jaggery maa laddu ready
Store in an airtight container, use within 2 weeks
