Dates halwa | Pericham pazham halwa-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Dates [Pericham pazham, khajoor]– 1 cup
- Milk – 1 cup
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
- Corn flour – 1 tbsp
- Pistachios – 5
- Almonds – 4
- Ghee – ¼ cup
Preparation
- Heat pan with ghee & roast pistachios and almonds then chop.
- Remove the seeds from dates
- Boil milk then put dates & soak dates for 15 min. Then finely grind.
- Heat pan then add milk. When milk is boiling add freshly ground dates mixture stir well continuously in low flame.
- Then add ghee stir well continuously.
- Once raw smell out and bubbles come out add sugar, corn flour and stir well & add ghee.
- Once the mixture blends well add cardamom powder and chopped nuts mix well & cut off heat.
- Transfer this mixture to ghee greased tray. Cut into desired shapes & serve hot or chilled.
Tip
- For Instant dates halwa use condensed milk and khoya, Khoa or mava.

Remove seeds, soak with milk, put it in a mixer jar & finely grind
Dates paste is ready
Heat milk in a pan
Let it boil
Add freshly ground paste
Mix well on low flame
Add ghee
Add sugar
Add cardamom powder
Add corn flour let it thickens
Dates mixture is ready, add ghee.
Dates halwa is ready, cut off heat
