Ingredients
- Raw rice [Pacharisi] - 1 cup
- Jaggery - 3/4 cup
- Water - 1/5 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
- Sesame - 1 tbsp
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation
- Wash ans 1 cup raw rice for 2 to 3 hours
- 2 hours later, drain water completely
- Place it in a cotton cloth, dry out for 30 min, dont dryout for long time.
- 30 min later, still moisture is there, rice sticking in hand, perfect stage for grinding
- Put it in a mixie jar, grind to fine powder
- Transfer to a bowl, gently press with hand to avoid drying
- Heat jaggery ,water in a pan, boil until soft ball consistency [When you pour spoonful of jaggery syrup in water, not dissolving or No separating in water
- Pour jaggery syrup in to rice mixture mix well
- Add sesame seeds & cardamom powder mix well
- Cover lid, leave it in room temperature for 1 or 2 days
- Or you can refrigerate for 5 days
- 1 day later, knead the dough until soft
- if its dry add milk, make soft dough
- Divide the dough into equal size balls
- Grease banana leaf with oil, Gently flatten then make hole inthe middle
- Heat oil in a pan, drop it, deep fry until crisp & golden brown
- Once its ready, drain on absorbent paper, let it cool
- Store in an airtight container, use within 1 month

- You can add nuts, peanuts, cocoa powder etc...
