Carrot sago payasam | Sabudana kheer-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Sago [Sabudana, javvarisi] – ½ cup
- Carrot - 1 [finely grated]
- Milk-1 ½ cups
- Sugar- ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
- Ghee [melted butter] – 3 tbsp
- Pistachios – 4 [ghee roasted]
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Wash & soak sago for 2 hours
- Heat ghee in a pan add carrot sauté for 2 min.
- Add milk, water, & let it boil
- Add soaked sago cook for 2 min
- Then add sugar mix well cook till colour changes to transparent.
- Finally add cardamom powder, and then cut off heat.
- Garnish with pistachios serve hot, warm or chilled.
Tip
- For another variation of carrot payasam use condensed milk or jaggery & coocnut milk.
- You can add roasted cashewnuts,rainsins & almonds
How to make Carrot sago payasam-Stepwise pictures
Soak sago for 20 min
Drain water fully then leave it for 2 hours
Heat ghee add carrot saute
Add milk let it boil and cook
Add soaked sabudana cook till colour changes to transparent
Add 1/4 cup sugar
Add cardamom powder
Sabudana perfectly cooked, cut off heat
Carrot javvarisi payasam
Carrot sabudana kheer is ready, add roasted pistachios
