Ingredients (for paste)
- Raw mango[Mangai] – 1
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Fenugreek seeds– 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder– 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Asafetida – ½ tsp
- Brown sugar - 1 tbsp
- Sesame oil [Nalennai]- 2 tbsp
- salt or Sea salt as required
Seasoning & Preparation Method
- Wash & wipe out Raw mango then cut into small cubes.
- Dry roast mustard seeds, Fenugreek, let it cool and grind to fine powder.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, let it splutter
- Add asafoetida, turmeric & red chilli powder.
- Add ground fenugreek, mustard powder mix well on low flame for 50 sec.
- Add mango cubes, salt, brown sugar mix well for 2 min, then cut off heat & let it cool.
- Then serve hot with curd rice.

Cut raw mango into cubes
Dry roast fenugreek seeds
Dry roast mustard seeds
Put roasted fenugreek, mustard into stone mortar, coarsely grind
Fenugreek mustard powder ready
Heat pan add 2 tbsp sesame oil, add mustard & hing[Asafoetida]
Add turmeric powder
Add red chilli powder
Add coarsely grind fenugreek mustard powder
Add raw mango cubes
Add salt
Add brown sugar
Mix well for 2 min then cut off heat
