Ingredients
- Basmati rice – 2 cups
- Coconut milk – 4 cups
- Onion – 1 [sliced]
- Ginger, garlic paste– 2 tbsp
- Green chilli– 1
- Fennel seeds – 1 tbsp
- Green cardamom - 3
- Cinnamon stick- 1
- Cloves - 4
- Bay leaves - 1
- Salt to taste
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water –3 cups
Preparation Method
- Wash & soak basmati rice for 30 min.
- Heat oil & ghee in a pan, add green cardamom, fennel seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, bay leaves sauté.
- Then add onion sauté till light brown
- Add ginger, garlic paste & green chilli.
- Add basmati rice & salt mix well.
- Then add coconut milk mix well, cover it & cook for 10 min
- Then serve hot with salna kurma and raitha.

Soak basmati rice for 30 min
Heat pan, add 2 tbsp oil
Add 2 tbsp ghee
Add spices, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf,fennel, cloves
Add ginger, garlic, green chilli
Saute for 3 min
Add soaked rice
Add coconut milk
Let it boil , cover lid, cook for 10 min
Mix well, cook for 5 min
Now its ready
Healthy & simple coconut milk biryani ready
Serve hot with raita or kurma
