Ingredients

  • Dill leaves[Fennel] – 1 cup
  • Moong dal – 1/4 cup
  • Onion - 1 [finely chopped]
  • Ginger & garlic – 1 tbsp each [finely chopped]
  • Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Redchilli powder – ¼ tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Chana dal & urad dal – 1 tbsp
  • Hing - 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves- 1 spring
  • Dry red chilli - 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp

Preparation

  • Pluck, wash & chop dill leaves..
  • Dry roast moong dal, wash
  • Boil moong dal with turmeric powder, red chilli powder till soft.
  • Heat oil and ghee in a pan then add Mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal & hing..
  • Then add curry leaves, dry red chilli, ginger and garlic sauté gently.
  • Add green chilli & onion saute till soft
  • Add chopped dill leaves sauté gently then add turmeric and red chilli powder saute for 2 min.
  • Add cooked moong dal & salt cook for 5 min.
  • Once its ready, cut off heat then serve hot with rice, chapthi.
