Karuppu ulundhu idli By

Ingredients

  • Idli Rice – 3 cups
  • Black urad dal[Karuppu ulundhu] – ¾ cup
  • Fenugreek – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Method

  • Wash and Soak idli rice, black urad dal with fenugreek separately for 6 hours.
  • Drain water then grind well. Add salt and leave the batter for fermentation [approximately. 8 hours].
  • Grease idly plates with gingelly oil. Pour idly batter. Then steam it for 10 min.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney and Sambar.
