Carrot rava idli-How to make-Step by step photos & video

Ingredients
- Rava[Semolina] - 1 cup
- Curd - ½ cup
- Water as needed
- Carrot [ grated]- 1 grated
- Green chilli - 1 [chopped]
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Ginger - 1 tbsp [grated]
- Coriander Leaves - ½ cup [chopped]
- Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram - 1 tbsp
- Urad dal - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Asafetida - a pinch
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Preparation
- In a bowl add rava, salt, asafoetida, curd & water mix well make batter leave it for 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds, bengal gram, urad dal, asafetida green chilli, ginger, carrot, turmeric powder and curry leaves sauté gently.
- Add chopped coriander leaves.
- Put these seasoned ingredients onto rava batter mixture
- Heat idli cooker with water & let it boil.
- Then grease idly plates with oil and pour carrot rava batter mixture in each cavity.
- Place it in boiling water, cover lid and steam it for 8 to 10 min.
- Then Serve hot with coconut chutney.
Note
- Don’t add too much water.

- Add turmeric while seasoning and lemon juice for Lemon Rava Idli

In a bowl add white rava & salt
Add curd
Add water, make, batter, leave it for 1 hour
For seasoning:- add oil, mustard, chana dal, urad dal
Add curry leaves, green chilli, ginger
Add asafoetida
Add carrot, saute for 2 min
Add salt
Add seasoned ingredients
Add corainder
Grease idli plates, Pour batter
Steam it for 10 min
Healthy carrot rava idli ready
Soft carrot idli, serve hot with chutney
Carrot semolina idli
