Ingredients

  • Onion – 2 [cut into rings]
  • Besan [gram flour, kadalai maavu] – 4 tbsp
  • Rava – ½ tbsp
  • Maida – 1 tbsp
  • Rice flour – ½ tbsp
  • Corn flour – ½ tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
  • Oil – ¼ ltr
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Method

  • In a bowl put all ingredients then add water mix well (cream consistency).
  • Heat pan with sunflower oil. Then dip onion in the batter and deep fry in medium hot oil.
  • Serve hot with tea or coffee. Best for morning school snacks (11 AM) or evening snack.
