Pudina thogayal

Ingredients

  • Pudina [mint leaves] – 1 cup
  • Toor dal – 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal – ½ tbsp
  • Dry red chilli – 3
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Coriander seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Coconut – 2 tbsp [grated]
  • Tamarind – ½ inch
  • Onion – 1 [sliced]
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

Preparation Method

  • Heat pan with oil put toor dal, Bengal gram and urad dal roast till golden brown.
  • Next roast cumin and coriander seeds. Then roast onion, coconut, garlic, red chilli and tamarind.
  • Finally roast pudina till soft. Cool it and put it in mixer jar coarsely grind all ingredients.
  • Sprinkle gingelly oil and serve with rice.
