Green gram payasam

Ingredients

  • Green gram – 1 cup
  • Jaggery – ¼ cup [grated] or you can use brown sugar, sugar or honey
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
  • Cashew nuts – 7
  • Raisins – 10
  • Ghee – 3 tbsp

Preparation

  • Dry roast green gram then wash. Boil in cooker for 4 whistles.
  • Heat pan with ghee then roast cashews and raisins.
  • Heat another pan then pour milk then leave it for boil. Once milk comes to boil add jaggery and boiled green gram stir well then add 1 tbsp ghee & leave it for 5 min.
  • Add cardamom powder, cashews and raisins. Then serve hot

Note

  • You can make pachai payaru payasam with out milk.
