Samai arisi upma | Little millet upma-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Samai arisi [Little millet]- 2 cups
- Carrot – 2 [cut into cubes]
- Beans – ¼ cup [finely chopped]
- Potato – 1 [cut into cubes]
- Coconut – 1 tbsp [finely sliced]
- Onion-1[sliced]
- Green chilli - 1[chopped]
- Ginger - 1tbsp [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves- 1 spring
- Mustard seeds-1 tbsp
- Bengal gram-1 tbsp
- Urad dal-1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves-2 tbsp [chopped]
- Water-3 ½ to 4 cups
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation Method
- Wash & soak samai arisi for 15 min.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add mustard seeds & let its splutter. Then add Bengal gram, urad dal & cashew nuts sauté gently.
- Add onion sauté well then add ginger, green chilli, carrot, potato, beans, coconut, curry leaves sauté.
- Add water and salt and mix well & let it boil.
- Then add samai arisi mix well then cover it and cook for 3 to 4 whistle.
- Then add coriander leaves mix well and serve hot with coconut chutney, pickle.
How To Make Samai arisi upma- Step by Step Photos
Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add mustard seeds, bengal gram & urad dal
Add cashew nuts saute
Add onion saute till soft
Add ginger, green chilli and curry leaves
Add carrot, potato, & beans saute
Add water and salt mix well let it boil
Add soaked samai arisi mix well
Now its ready, cover it and cook for 4 whistles
After 4 whistles perfectly cooked samai upma, mix gently, Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves
Little millet upma is ready, serve hot with pickle or chutney
