How to make Rava Gavvalu [sooji snack]-Crispyvideo
Ingredients
- Rava -1 cup
- Maida - 1 tbsp
- Hing - 1/2 tsp
- Red chlli powder - 1 tbsp
- Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
- Dry mango powder - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Ghee -1 tbsp
- Salt tot taste
- Water as required
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation
- In a bowl add Maida/wheat flour, chiroti rava, ghee, Hing, Red chlli powder , Garam masala powder, Dry mango powder, Turmeric powder, ghe, salt mix well
- Then add water slowly to make the soft dough.
- Cover it, leave it for 15 min.
- Divide the dough into small balls , using fork or gavvalu maker, shape gavval [shell shape]
- Heat oil & ghee in a pan then deep fry till crisp & golden brown on low to medium hot oil
- When it is ready take it out & drain on an absorbent paper.
- Once cooled store it in an airtight container & use within 10 days
