How to make Rava Gavvalu [sooji snack]-Crispyvideo


Ingredients

  • Rava -1 cup
  • Maida - 1 tbsp
  • Hing - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chlli powder - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Ghee -1 tbsp
  • Salt tot taste
  • Water as required
  • Oil for deep frying

Preparation

  • In a bowl add Maida/wheat flour, chiroti rava, ghee, Hing, Red chlli powder , Garam masala powder, Dry mango powder, Turmeric powder, ghe, salt mix well
  • Then add water slowly to make the soft dough.
  • Cover it, leave it for 15 min.
  • Divide the dough into small balls , using fork or gavvalu maker, shape gavval [shell shape]
  • Heat oil & ghee in a pan then deep fry till crisp & golden brown on low to medium hot oil
  • When it is ready take it out & drain on an absorbent paper.
  • Once cooled store it in an airtight container & use within 10 days
