Ingredients

  • Raw Banana[vazhakkai, Kacha kela] -1 [Peel off the skin & cut into cubes]
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Bengal gram - 1/2 tbsp
  • Urad dal- 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds- 1 tbsp
  • Fenugreek seeds -2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Water as needed

Method

  • Dry roast fenugreek & coriander seeds separately then grind
  • Pressure cook raw banana for 2 whistles
  • Then peel off the skin, & cut into cubes
  • In a bowl add cubed raw banana, turmerci powder, red chilli powder ,coriander powder, and salt mix well leave it for 5 min
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let it splutter then add bengal gram & urad dal.
  • Add curry leaves, asafoetida, fenugreek powder saute for a min
  • Add raw banana roast for 5 min.
  • Then cut off heat & Serve hot with rice.
