Ingredients
- Kambu maavu [Pearl millet flour, Bajra flour] – 1 cup
- Water – ¾ to 1 cup
- Jaggery – ½ cup [grated]
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
- Coconut - ½ cup [grated]
- Raisins[Kismiss, Ularndha Dhirakshai] – 2 tbsp
- Brown sugar – 1 tbsp [for garnishing]
Method
- For poornam stuffing: - In a bowl add grated coconut, chopped raisins, jaggery, & cardamom powder mix well & keep it aside.
- For outer shell: - In a bowl, take pearl millet flour with water make it dosa batter consistency without lumps.
- Heat Pan, Pour batter and stir continuously and cut off heat when it becomes soft chapathi dough consistency.
- Divide the dough into equal size balls. Then grease finger with gingelly oil or ghee.
- Give pressure at the center, rotate and make it bowl shape.
- Fill with Poornam. Fold & Seal it and you would get half circle shape. Use knife and make designs for the edge.
- Steam it in an idli cooker for 5 min. Then serve hot.
