Black rice paniyaram [Kavuni arisi appam]-How to make-Step by sep photos

Ingredients
- Black rice[Kavuni arisi] –1 cup
- Idli Rice – 1 cup
- Urad dal – 1/2 cup
- Fenugreek – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Wash and Soak black rice, idli rice, urad dal & fenugreek separately for 6 hours.
- Drain water then grind to smooth batter.
- Add salt and leave the batter for fermentation [approximately. 8 hours].
- Check the consistency, Add water if required.
- Heat o1.5 tbsp oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, chana dal, bengal gram, onion, ginger, green chilli, carrot, capsicum, curry leaves, salt & coriander leaves saute for 2 min
- Add sauted ingredients to black rice batter, mix well
- Heat paniyaram [Appam] pan, pour 1 tbsp oil, pour batter, cover lid, cook till crisp both sides [Apr 5 min]
- Once it's ready, transfer to a plate & serve hot with chutney and sambar
How to make Black rice paniyaram- Step by step photos
1 cup black rice, 1/4 cup urad dal, 1 tbsp fenugreek seeds
Wash & Soak it for 0vernight or 5 hours
After 5 hours, drain water
Put black rice in mixie jar, add enough water, finely grind
Black rice batter ready
Transfer into a bowl
In a mixie jar, urad dal, fenugreek seeds, finely grind
Pour into a bowl, finely grind
Add 1 tbsp salt, mix well
Mix well
Let it ferment for 8 hours
Take capsicum, carrot, onion, coconut, ginger, coriander
Heat 1 tbsp oil, add mustard, urad dal, bengal gram, onion, capsicum, carrot, ginger, green chilli, onion, coconut, curry leaf, coriander
Add seasoned ingredients
Mix well
Pour into paniyaram pan
Pour into oil
Cover lid, cook till crisp & golden brown both sides
Flip over, cook
Now its ready, remove it from pan
