How to make Black rice idli, dosa / paniyaram video
Ingredients
- Black rice[Kavuni arisi] –1 cup
- Idli Rice – 1 cup
- Urad dal – 1/2 cup
- Fenugreek – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Wash and Soak black rice, idli rice, urad dal & fenugreek separately for 6 hours.
- Drain water then grind to smooth batter.
- Add salt and leave the batter for fermentation [approximately. 8 hours].
- Grease idly plates with gingelly oil. Pour idly batter. Then steam it for 10 min.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney and Sambar.
How to make Black rice idli- Stepwise procedure with pictures [Simple, Easy]
Take 1 cup black rice
Add idli rice
Idli rice & black rice
Add fenugreek seeds
Add urad dal
Wash 2 to 3 times
Add water soak it for 5 to 6 hours
After 6 hours, drain water
Now its ready to grind
Put soaked ingredients, grind to smooth batter
Idli ingredients ratio [4 cups + 1 cup + 1 tbsp For soft Idly]
Add salt
Cover lid & leave it for fermentation[Apr 8 hours]
Fermented batter ready
Grease idli plate with sesame oil, pour batter
Palce it in idli cooker, steam it for 10 min
Now its ready, cut off heat
Remove idli from idli plates
Kavuni arisi idli ready, serve hot with tomato chutney or sambar
