Green gram idli | Pachai payaru idli-How to make-Stepwise pictures

Ingredients
- Green gram – 2 cups
- Urad dal – ½ cup
- Idli Rice – ¼ cup
- Fenugreek seeds – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed.
Method
- Dry roast moong dal.
- Wash & soak moong dal, urad dal, idli rice & fenugreek seeds overnight.
- Drain water then grind well. Add water when grinding. In a bowl add freshly ground batter, salt and leave it for fermentation [approximately. 8 hours].
- Heat idli cooker with water & let it boil. Grease idly plates with gingelly oil, pour idly batter & place it in idli cooker. Cover lid & steam it for 10 min.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney and Sambar.
How to Make Green Gram Idli-Stepwise pictures

Black urad dal[½ cup]
Idli rice [3 tbsp or ¼ cup]
Fenugreek
Soak green gram, black urad dal, fenugreek & rice for 8 hours then grind to fine batter. Add salt & leave it for fermentation[apr.5 to 8 hours].This pic depicts 'Fermented batter'
Mix well
Green gram idli batter consistency
Grease idli plates with ginelly oil
Pour batter & steam it for 10 min
Green Gram Idli is ready-Serve hot with coconut chutney
