Green chilli pickle | Pachai Milagai[Hari Mirch] oorugai-How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Green chilli [Pachai Milagai-Tamil, Hari Mirch-Hindi] – 1 cup
- Gingelly oil[Sesame oil] – 50 ml
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Fenugreek – 1 ½ tbsp
- Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
- Lemon juice – 3 tbsp
- Asafetida – ½ tbsp
- Sea salt as required
Marinade
- Wash & wipe out green chilli then cut the green chilli into 1 inch pieces.
- Take the green chilli in a large plate and add sea salt.
- Mix well and expose to sunlight for 1 day
Seasoning & Preparation Method
- Heat ¾ cup of sesame oil then let it cool.
- Dry roast mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, & coriander seeds then let it cool.
- Then put it in a mixer jar & grind to fine powder.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan then add mustard seeds let it splutter.
- Add freshly ground powder, asafetida, & turmeric powder mix well.
- Add marinated green chilli mix well then cut off heat.
- Add lemon juice mix well.
- Finally add sesame oil mix well.
- Then store it in porcelain jar (Optionally pour some more gingelly oil). Serve with curd rice or upma

Chop green chilli then add sea salt mix well expose to sunlight for one day
Heat enough sesame oil then let it cool
Dry roast fenugreek seeds, mustard , coriander seeds let it cool.
Put roasted ingredients in a mixer jar finely grind
Heat sesame oil add mustard seeds let it splutter then add asafetida
Add freshly ground masala powder & turmeric powder mix well
Add dried green chilli mix well
Add salt mix well then cut off heat
Add lemon juice
Add sesame oil
Store in porcelain jar
