Spring onion rice | Scallion[Vengayathal] rice-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Jeera rice or basmati rice– 1 ½ cup [Boiled]
- Spring onion – 1 cup [chopped]
- Carrot – ¼ cup [finely chopped]
- Green chilli – ½ tbsp [finely chopped]
- Onion – 1 [finely chopped]
- Kashmiri red chilli paste – 2 tbsp
- Soya sauce – 1 tbsp
- Pepper powder – 1 tsp [freshly ground]
- Garam masala powder or five spice powder– ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation method
- Soak 3 kashmiri red chilli in hot water for 5 min then drain water & grind to smooth paste.
- Heat oil in pan add onion, green chilli & carrot sauté on high flame.
- Add spring onion, red chilli paste, soya sauce & salt mix well.
- Add ½ tbsp of pepper powder, garam masala powder mix well
- Add boiled jeera rice, salt & remaining ½ tsp pepper powder mix well.
- Once it’s ready cut off heat & serve hot with baby corn, cauliflower or mushroom Manchurian.

Heat oil in a pan add onion, & green chilli saute well
Add carrot saute well
Add spring onion saute
Add red chilli paste
Add soya sauce & pepper powder mix well
Add garam masala powder mix well
Add boiled rice & salt mix well
Finally add chopped spring onion & cut off heat
Green onion rice is ready serve hot
