Green gram paniyaram | Pesarattu paddu | Pachai payaru paniyaram-How to make with step by step photos

Ingredients
- Green gram [Green moong dal, pachai payaru, pasipayaru, matki dal] – 1 cup
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [chopped]
- Green chilli - 3
- Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves – 3 springs
- Curry leaves – 2 springs
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Preparation Method
- Wash & soak green gram over night. Then drain water.
- Put soaked green gram, green chilli, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander & curry leaves in a grinder then coarsely grind with enough water.
- In a bowl add coarsely ground batter mixture, salt mix well & leave it for 3 hours.
- Heat paniyaram tawa (Iron casting tastes better than other material) & grease with oil then pour batter.
- Cover lid and cook for 2 min.
- Flip over and pour 1 tbsp of oil around the paniyaram then again cook till crisp & golden brown.
- Cut off heat. Then serve hot with coconut chutney

Wash and soak green gram over night then drain water & add cumin, salt, green chilli & ginger
Add curry leaves & coriander leaves
Put pesarattu ingredients in a mixer jar & coarsely with enough water
Pesarattu / green gram batter is ready
Cover lid & Leave it for 1 hour [optional]. You can paniyaram instantly
Heat iron paniyaram tawa, pour batter, sprinkle oil, cover it & cook for 2 min
Flip over cook both sides
