Sago jaggery payasam | Javvarisi jaggery kheer-How to make-Stepwise pictures & Video

Ingredients
- Sago [Sabudana, javvarisi] -1 cup
- Ghee [melted butter] – 2 tbsp
- Milk-1 cup
- Jaggery- ½ cup
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
- Raisins - 7
- Cashew Nut - 4
- Water – 3 cups
Preparation
- Wash & soak sago for 5 hours or overnight
- Heat ghee in a pan then roast cashew nuts, & raisins, keep it aside.
- Heat water & jaggery in a pan let it boil for 5 min then drain to remove impurities
- Add water in a pan, let it boil then add sago cook till sago turns to transparent color.
- Add milk let it boil for 3 min.
- Add cardamom powder mix well then cut off heat & leave it for 5 min
- Add jaggery syrup mix well.
- Add ghee roasted cashew nut,& raisins. Serve hot or cold.
Tip
- For another variation of sago payasam use condensed milk or palm jaggery

Add water, let it boil
Add soaked sago
Mix well, let it boil till it turns to transparent
Add jaggery in a pan

Now its ready, cut off heat, drain to remove impurities
Add milk
Let it boil for 3 min
Now its ready
Add cardamom powder, cut off heat, leave it for 3 min
Add Jaggery syrup
Mix well
Add cashews & raisins
Sago kheer with jaggery is ready, serve hot or chilled
