Red rice idiyappam& salna-Stepwise photos & Video

Ingredients
- Red rice flour -2 cup
- Water- 2.5 cup
- salt to taste
- Oil - 2 tbsp
Preparation Method
- Boil water, salt, oil
- Add red rice flour, mix well, cover lid, leave it for 5 min
- Then knead it for 2 min
- Grease murukku kuzhal with oil
- Add handful dough, squeeze over idiyappam plates
- Cover & Steam it for 10 minutes.
- Then Serve hot with Kurma, salna, coconut milk or chutney.
Ingredients for salna
- Carrot, beans, potato- 1 cup
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Spices- Fennel, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, stone flower, bay leaf
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- coriander pwoder -1 tbsp
- mint coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
- Green chilli - 1
- Onion - 1
- Ginger garlic - 1 tbsp
- Tomato - 5 [finely chopped]
- For paste:- Cashews [1 tbsp], roasted gram[ 1 tbsp] coconut [2 tbsp], poppy seeds [1 tsp]
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed.
Preparation Method
- In a mixie jar add cashews, raosted gram, coconut, poppy seeds grind to fine paste
- Heat 2 tbsp oil, addd spices fry till you get nice aroma
- Add onion, ginger, garlic, green chilli saute till soft
- Add mint, coriander saute for 50 sec
- Add tomato, turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, mix well
- Add vegetablesm\, saut for 3 min
- Add ground paste mix well
- Add water cook for 5 to 8 min
- Once its ready, serve hot with idiyappam
