Ingredients

  • Nungu[palmyra palm, ice apple]- 1 fruit
  • Milk - 1 ltr
  • Sugar / Jaggery- 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp

Preparation

  • Heat pan, add milk, let it cook till it reduced to 1/2
  • Add sugar, cardamom powder, let it cool[3/4 th]
  • Add nungu flesh, mix well, serve immediately

Tip

  • For another variation of nungu payasam use condensed milk/ coconut milk/almond milk or palm jaggery
  • You can add nuts or roasted coconut.
