Semiya kichadi with carrots & green peas| Vermicelli Veg Kichadi-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Semiya [Vermicelli] – 1 cup
- Tomato – 2 [chopped]
- Carrot – 2 [chopped]
- Green peas – ¼ cup [fresh]
- Beans – 3 tbsp [chopped, optional]
- Onion -1 [chopped]
- Ginger-1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Green chilli -1 [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves-1 spring
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Oil – 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Method
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds. Once it’s crackled add Bengal gram, urad dal sauté.
- Add chopped onion sauté well then add ginger, green chilli, & curry leaves sauté.
- Add green peas, carrot sauté.
- Add tomato, turmeric & red chilli powder sauté gently.
- Add enough water and salt mix well and let it to boil.
- Then add semiya and mix well. Cover it and cook.
- Once moisture out from semiya cut off, cover it and leave it for 2 min.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney

Heat oil add mustard, urad dal, bengal gram, onion, ginger, green chilli, curry leaves, turmeric & red chilli powder saute
Add tomato saute well
Add water, salt & let it boil
Add semiya
Mix well, cover it, leave it for 3min on low flame
Easy semiya kichadi is ready, cut off heat, serve hot with chutney
