Pasta payasam

Ingredients

  • Pasta [Penne pasta small] - 1 cup
  • Milk – 3 cups
  • Water – 1 cup [optional]
  • Saffron – few
  • Jaggery or Sugar – ¾ cup
  • Green cardamom powder - ½ tbsp
  • Cashew nuts - 5
  • Raisins - 7
  • Pistachio - 4
  • Ghee – 1 ½ tbsp

Preparation

  • Heat pan with ghee then roast cashew nuts, raisins, & pistachio keep it aside.
  • In the same pan roast pasta then add milk, water & cook till soft [apr 15 to 20 min]. Then add saffron & jaggery mix well.
  • Add ghee roasted cashew nut, raisins, & pistachio slices.
  • Finally add cardamom powder mix well &cut off heat. Serve hot or cold.
