Black urad dal vada

Ingredients

  • Black urad dal – 1 cup
  • Ginger – 1 inch cube
  • Curry leaves - spring
  • Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 1 [finely chopped]
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  • Wash and soak black urad dal for 8 hours. Then grind with ginger.
  • In a bowl put ground urad dal, then add curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chilli and salt mix well.
  • Take banana leaf shape vada then deep fry till golden brown.
  • Take banana leaf, grease it with oil, take a lemon size ball and flatten it to vada shape, and put hole at the centre and deep fry
  • Serve hot with chutney

Note

  • You can make thayir vadai also.
