Tomato capsicum gravy By

Ingredients

  • Tomato – 5 [chopped]
  • Capsicum – 2 [cut into stripes]
  • Green chilli -1 [sliced]
  • Onion – 2 [sliced]
  • Garlic – 2 cloves [mashed]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal – ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar – ¼ tsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Water as needed

Method

  • Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds. Once it’s spluttered then add Bengal gram and urad dal. Then add onion sauté till soft.
  • Add garlic and capsicum sauté well then add green chilli, curry leaves, tomato, turmeric & red chilli powder sauté well.
  • Add water and salt cover lid and leave it for boil.
  • When boiling add sugar then cut off heat, Serve hot with rice or chapati
