Vazhakkai poriyal | Raw banana[kaccha kela] stir fry-How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Peel off and boil field beans. Season with mustard seed, curry leaves. Add grated coconut for extra taste and aroma. As this beans is fresh it has all nutrition values and tastes too.
Ingredients
- Raw Banana[vazhakkai, Kacha kela] -1 [Peel off the skin & cut into cubes]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Bengal gram - 1/2 tbsp
- Urad dal- 1/2 tbsp
- Coconut - 1/4 cup
- Garlic - 3 cloves[mash]
- Coriander leaves -2 springs
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Method
- Wash raw banana then slice.
- Boil water, add raw banana slices, turmeric & Red chilli powder, let it boil till soft[1pr 8 min]
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let it splutter then add bengal gram & urad dal.
- Add garlic & curry leaves
- Add boiled raw banana, salt, red chilli & turmeric powder saute for 3 min.
- Add ground coconut & coriander leaves mix well then cut off heat.
- Serve hot with rice.
Note
- Don’t pressure cook Raw Banana.

Raw banana stir fry ingredients
Slice raw banana, add turmeric & red chilli powder
Boil raw banana till soft[8 min]
Drain water[After 8 min]
Peel off the raw banana skin then cut into 4 pieces
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds
Add bengal gram,& urad dal
Add Garlic, Asafetida & Curry leaves
Add Boiled raw banana cubes, salt, turmeric & red chilli powder
Saute for 3 min
Add coconut, coriander leaves ,cut off heat
Tasty kaccha kela stir fry is ready, serve hot with rice
