Kongunadu style arisi paruppu sadam -How to make-step by step photos

Ingredients
- Toor dal– 1/2 cup
- Rice – 1 cup
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Garlic – 3 cloves
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Green chilli -1
- Tomato - 1
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
Method
- Wash Toor dal and rice, soak it for 30 min
- Heat pressure cooker , add ghee & oil
- Add Mustard seeds, let it splutter
- Add Asafoetida, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves, onion saute.
- Add tomato, turmeric & red chilli powder saute till soft.
- Then add toor dal, rice, water & salt mix well
- Cover lid and cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
- Serve hot with ghee

Take toor dal & rice
Wash 2 to 3 times
Soak it for 30 min
Heat 1 tbsp oil, 2 tbsp ghee, add mustard, chana dal, urad dal, onion, garlic, curry leaves, green chilli
Add salt mix well
Add hing
Add tomato, turmeric powder, saute till soft
Add red chilli powder
Add soaked rice & toor dal
Mix well
Add water and salt mix well
Let it boil, cover lid & cook for 3 to 4 whistles
After 4 whistles, delicious dal rice ready
