Ingredients
- Varagu rice (kodo millet) - 1 cup
- Moong dal - ¼ cup
- Ghee – 3 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Curry leaves – 1 leaf
- Peppercorn – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water – 2 cups
Preparation
- Take varagu rice and moong dal in a cooker.
- Wash and cook (with 1 tbsp of ghee) for 4 whistle.
- Heat pan with ghee then add cumin seeds, pepper corns, ginger and curry leaves then cut off heat. Add this in cooked varagu mixture. Then add salt and ghee mix well. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
