Cuisine Style: Tamil Nadu, South India | Cooking Time: 5 to 8 minutes | To Serve: 4 | Type : Side dish, Poriyal, Stir Fry | Take with: Rice, Curd rice, Tea

Ingredients

  • Mochakottai– 1 cup [fresh]
  • Curry leaves – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic – 2 cloves [mashed]
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil- 2 tbsp

Preparation

  • Parboil with turmeric powder.
  • Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add garlic & curry leaves.
  • Add parboiled Mochakottai, salt, turmeric & red chilli powder sauté till light brown & becomes crispy.
  • Then cut off heat & serve hot with rice
