Tomato chutney


Cuisine Style: Tamil Nadu, south india | Cooking Time: 5 to 8 minutes | To Serve: 3 | Type : Chutney, side dish | Take with : Idly, Dosa

Ingredients

  • Tomato – 3 [chopped]
  • Onion – 2 [sliced]
  • Coconut – 1 tbsp [grated]
  • Dry red chilli - 2
  • Garlic – 2 cloves

Seasoning

  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring

Method

  • Heat pan with oil add onion sauté well then add garlic, red chilli and coconut sauté well.
  • Add tomato sauté till raw smell out. Cut off heat add salt and sugar. Then put it in blender make fine paste.
  • Heat pan with oil add mustard seeds, cumin and curry leaves. Put this seasoned ingredients in to ground paste. Then serve with idly, dosa.
