Double beans curry | Double beans thakkali masala kuzhambu-How to make-Stepwise pictures

Ingredients
- Double beans – ½ cup [fresh]
- Tomato – 3
- Onion – 1 [chopped]
- Ginger & Garlic – 1 tbsp [mashed]
- Green chilli – 1 [slit lengthwise or chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Kalonji [onion seeds] – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
- Cinnamon stick – ½
- Bay leaf– 1
- Oil or butter – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Method
- Peel off the double beans then boil double beans till soft
- Put 3 tomatoes in a mixer jar grind to smooth puree.
- Heat oil in a pan add kalonji, cinnamon, bay leaf sauté
- Add onion & salt sauté till light brown
- Add ginger, garlic, green chili & curry leaves sauté
- Add boiled double beans, turmeric & red chilli powder sauté
- Add tomato puree sauté till raw smell out.
- Add water & garam masala mix well & let it thickens
- Add salt mix well, cut off heat.
- Add coriander leaves mix well & serve hot with rice, chapatti or paratha
How To Make Double beans curry - Step by Step Photos
Heat oil in a pan, add kalonji, cinnamon, bayleaf, onion, ginger, green chilli, garlic, curry leaves, boiled double beans saute well
Add tomato puree mix well & let it boil
Add red chilli powder
Add turmeric powder
Add garam masala powder & salt, let it boil& thickens
Add pinch of sugar mix well
Finally add coriander leaves & cut off heat
Double beans curry is ready & serve hot with rice chapatti.
