Egg free veg omelette By


Cuisine Style: Tamil nadu, South India | Cooking Time: 3 to 5 minutes | To Serve: 2 | Type: Breakfast or Dinner

Ingredients

  • Gram flour [besan flour] - 2 tbsp
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Maida - 2 tbsp
  • Curd - 1/2 tbsp
  • Onion – 2 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Curry leaves – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Pepper powder – ¼ tsp [Freshly ground]
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Water as needed

Method

  • Mix rice flour and maida, add pinch of salt, curd, add water and bring to watery consistency.
  • In another bowl take roasted gram flour, add water and bring to Bajji consistency.
  • Heat Dosa pan; pour the rice flour and Maida mix batter. Do not use ladle to spread.
  • Pour Roasted gram batter at the center of the white portion to make it look like omlet.
  • Sprinkle chopped onion, curry leaves, coriander leaves and pepper. Flip over cook other side & serve hot
