Brown bread rasmalai

Ingredients

  • Brown Bread – 3 slices
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Saffron – ½ tbsp
  • Sugar – 3 tbsp
  • Almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios – 3 tbsp
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp

Preparation

  • Cut & remove the brown edges of the bread. Then cut into circle/round shapes.
  • Heat ghee in a pan roast almonds, pistachios & chop or grate & keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan then roast bread slices till golden brown [one side].
  • Heat milk in a pan & let it boil.
  • When boiling add saffron & wait till milk reduces to half & slightly thick.
  • Add sugar stir continuously till light cream consistency [rabdi].
  • Then add chopped nuts & cut off heat.
  • Arrange ghee roasted bread slices in a plate, Pour already prepared milk saffron mixture then garnish with nuts, serve immediately
