Ingredients

  • Potato [aloo, urulaikizhangu] – 1 cup [cut in to cubes & boil]
  • Green peas – 1 cup[boiled]
  • Cumin seeds[jeera] – 1 tbsp
  • Onion – 1 [finely chopped]
  • Ginger & garlic – 1 tbsp each[grated or mashed]
  • Green chilli - 1 [chopped or slit]
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder – 1 tbsp [dry roast cumin seeds & freshly grind]
  • Coriander powder[dhaniya] – 1 tbsp[dry roast coriander seeds & freshly grind]
  • Garam masala – ½ tbsp
  • Dry mango powder[amchur powder]
  • Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 to 3 tbsp

Method

  • Heat oil in a pan then add cumin & onion sauté till soft. Then add ginger, garlic & green chilli sauté.
  • Add Turmeric powder, Pepper powder, Red chilli powder, Cumin powder , Coriander powder, Garam masala, & Dry mango powder mix well.
  • Then add potato, green peas & sprinkle salt sauté & mix well. Leave it for a min. Then sprinkle coriander leaves mix well & cut off heat.
  • Serve hot with roti, chapatti or rice.

Note

  • You can add chat masala, fenu greek powder, kasoor methi when seasoning. It will give extra aromatic flavor for sabzi.
