Pineapple rasam-How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Pineapple - 1 cup
- Tomato – 1 or 2
- Garlic – 3 cloves [crushed]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp [chopped]
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tbsp
- Asafetida a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Water as needed
For grinding ingredients
- Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
- Peppercorns - 1 tbsp
- Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
- Dry roast above ingredients, let it cool & coarsely grind or freshly grind without roasting
Preparation Method
- Wash and mash tomato with hands & drain the skin & extract water.
- Chop pineapple & put it in a mixie jar grind to fine paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds & let it splutter.
- Add garlic, asafetida, turmeric powder, & curry leaves sauté.
- Add pineapple[2 tbsp], saute.
- Add tomato water, & salt mix well & let it boil.
- Add pineapple puree & freshly ground rasam powder mix well
- When boiling add chopped coriander leaves, cut off heat.
- Serve hot with rice.

Add pineapple & water, extract puree
Dry roast peppercorns, cumin seeds & coriander seeds
Coarsely grind
Heat oil, add mustard seeds
Add garlic & curry leaves
Add dry red chilli & asafetida
Add pineapple, saute
Add tomato water
Add salt
Add Turmeric powder
Add Pineapple puree
Add freshly ground rasam powder
Add coriander leaves
Pineapple rasam ready, serve hot with rice
