Paneer tomato gravy-Simple curry for chapatti & rice

Ingredients
- Paneer - 1 cup [cut into cubes]
- Tomato - 3
- Onion - 1
- Ginger - 1 tbsp
- Garlic - 2
- Green chilli - 1 tbsp[chopped]
- Cashew nut paste - ¼ cup
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
- Cumin powder - 2 tbsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
- Kasoor methi - 2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves - ¼ cup
- Bay leaf - 1
- Cloves - 1
- Star anise - 1/4 flower
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Butter - 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Preparation
- Boil tomato then peel of the skin, chop & grind to fine puree.
- Add onion, garlic, ginger, green chilli in a mixer jar finely grind.
- Heat oil & butter in a pan then add bay leaf, cloves & star anise saute.
- Add ground onion paste sauté well.
- Add tomato puree, turmeric powder & red chilli powder cook well. Add water if required.
- Add coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder & stir well.
- Add cashewnut paste & salt mix well..
- Shallow fry paneer cubes mix gently.
- Add kasoori methi mix well.
- Finally add chopped coriander leaves then cut off heat.
Note
- Use Fresh curd instead of fresh heavy cream
Tip
- You can add fried onion paste
- You can replace cashewnut paste with add almond paste or walnut paste
