Gulab jamun kofta curry -How to make-step by step photos

Ingredients For Koftas
- Instant Gulab jamun mix[Mtr]– 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1 [finely chopped]
- Green chilli – 1 [finely chopped]
- Ginger – ½ tbsp [finely chopped]
- Garlic - 3 cloves[finely chopped]
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp– ½ tbsp
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
- Garam masala – ¼ tsp
- Kasoori methi - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
Method for making koftas
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan add onion, ginger, green chilli, garlic ,turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, kasoori methi, saute till soft
- Add gulab jamun mix saute gently
- Sprinkle water, mix well, make soft dough
- Then divide the dough in to equal size balls.
- Deep fry all balls till crisp & golden brown.
Ingredients for Curry / Gravy
- Tomato – 3
- Cashew nut – ¼ cup
- Ginger & garlic paste – 1 tbsp [each]
- Onion – 1 [finely chopped or paste]
- Dry red chilli - 1
- Cardamom - 2
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cloves - 3
- Bay leaves – ½
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Redchilli powder – ½ tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Kasoor methi - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Butter – 1 inch cube
- Water as needed.
Method for curry
- Heat pan add 1 cup water, add tomato, onion, ginger, garlic, cashews & dry red chilli boil till soft [Apr 5 min]
- Then let it cool grind to smooth puree.
- Heat pan with oil & butter add cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, and cinnamon stick.
- Add Ground mixture & water mix well.
- Add turmeric and red chilli powder mix well , let it boil
- Add garam masala powder, & salt mix well.
- Add kasoori methi & coriander leaves cut off heat
- Once gravy is ready add fried koftas then cut off heat.
- Add butter serve hot with bastmathi rice or chapathi.

Saute till soft
Add gulab jamun mix
Saute on low flame for 2 min
Add garam masala powder
Add coriander leaves
Add water, make soft dough
Kofta dough ready
Divide the dough into equal size balls
Heat oil, deep fry till and golden brown
Koftas ready
Remove it from oil
Boil tomato, onion, garlic, green chilli
Add cashews
Add dry red chilli boil till soft
Now its ready, let it cool
Put it in mixie jar
Add turmeric powder
Add salt, grind to fine puree
Heat oil & butter in a pan
Add spices
Add ground puree
Add salt
Add red chilli powder & garam masala, let it boil
Add kasoori methi
Add fried koftas
Add coriander leaves, cut off heat
Delicious kofta curry ready
Serve hot with rice, chapathi
