Corn Green Peas Tikki

For Green peas and corn stuffing
Ingredients
- Sweet corn [boiled and coarsely ground] - ¼ cup
- Green peas [boiled and coarsely ground] - ¼ cup
- Ginger and Green Chilli paste - ½ tbs each
- Chopped coriander leaves - ¼ cup
- Lemon juice - 1 ½ tbs
- Sugar - ¼ tsp
Ingredients For Tikkis
- White rava [semolina] - ¾ cup
- Ginger and greenchilli paste - 1 tbs
- Salt to taste
- Maida - ½ cup [dissolved with ¾ of water]
- Breadcrumbs - 400 gms
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation
- Mix green peas, sweet corn, green chilli & ginger paste, sugar, salt, finely chopped coriander leaves well together
- Boil 1 ¼ cup of water then add white rava, salt, ginger and green chilli paste and mix well. Keep the mixture in the refrigerator to avoid stickiness while making tikkis
- After 20 mins take the rava mixture then make ball shape then depress the center of the ball and put the green peas stuffing inside.
- You will get again ball shape after closing all the edges. Now flatten this ball gently
- Repeat the above steps for all ball shaped tikkis
- Dip each tikki in the maida mixture, roll it in breadcrumbs. Make sure all the sides of the tikkis equally covered/sealed with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan, deep fry all tikkis one by one. Once they are turned golden brown both the sides take it from the pan.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce, chilli sauce or green chutney
Tip
- You can add 2 tbsp corn flour in rava mixing for more crispiness.
Note
- Grease your palm with oil before making tikkis
