Ingredients
- Potato - 1 [wash & thinly slice]
- Besan [gram flour, kadalai maavu] – ¼ cup
- Rice flour – 2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp [optional]
- pepper powder - ¼ tsp
- Asafetida a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Oil – ¼ ltr [for frying]
Preparation
- Take a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, salt, asafetida, gigner, garlic paste, garam masala, red chilli & turmeric powder then add water mix well (bajji batter consistency).
- Heat pan with sunflower oil.
- Then dip potato slices in the batter and deep fry on medium hot oil till crisp & golden brown.
- Serve hot with Tomato sauce, Green Chutney, Schezwan chutney

Cut potato into wedges
Add gram flour, rice flour, asafetida & salt mix well
Add red chilli, turmeric powder mix well ,Add water make batter
Bajji batter is ready, add 1 tbsp oil
Add potato wedges
Heat oil drop potato wedges
Deep fry till crisp and golden brown
Potato pakora wedges are ready remove from oil
Urulaikizhangu bajji is ready, serve hot with tomato sauce
