Ingredients

  • Okra [ladies finger, bhindi] - 200 g
  • Rice flour - 5 tbsp
  • Bengal gram flour [Gram flour, besan flour, Kadalai maavu]- 4 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - ½ tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – ½  tbsp
  • Salt as needed
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water - 2 tbsp

Method

  • Wash & Cut okra into equal size pieces
  • In a bowl take okra, rice flour, bengal gram flour,red chilli powder, turmeric powder, Asafetida, salt & 3 tbsp water mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan add okra pieces, deep fry till light brown.
  • Once its ready, take it out.
  • Drain on absorbent paper, serve hot with tea, coffee or rice
