Kothavarangai milagu poricha kootu | Cluster beans peppercorns poricha kootu

Ingredients
- Kothavarangai [Cluster beans] – 1 cup or 120 gram
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves -1 spring
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
For roasting & grinding
- Urad dal – ½ tbsp
- Peppercorns [Milagu] - 4
- Coconut – 2 tbsp [grated]
- Dry red chilli – 1 to 2
- Water - 3 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- *Heat oil in a pan roast urad dal, peppercorns & dry red chilli. Add roasted ingredients & coconut in a mixer jar grind well with 3 tbsp of water.
Method
- Boil Cluster beans with turmeric & salt added water till soft. In the same pan add ground mixture mix well & let it boil [apr. 2 min]. Then cut off heat.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let its splutter. Then add curry leaves & cut off heat. Add this seasoned ingredients to the cluster beans mixture mix well & serve hot with rice.
