Green capsicum chutney- How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Green capsicum – 1
- Dry red chilli [Sigappu milagai, Vara Milagai]–1 or 2
- Green chilli –1
- Garlic – 3 cloves
- Coconut - 3 tbsp
- Tamarind – 1 inch piece
- Bengal gram[Chana dal, kadalai paruppu] – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Water as needed
- Salt to taste
For seasoning [optional]
- Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Asafetida[Hing]- 1/4 tsp
- Oil - 1 tbsp
Method
- Wash & roughly chop green capsicum..
- Heat oil in a pan add bengal gram, urad dal, garlic, dry red chilli, green chilli, coconut, & tamarind saute till light brown
- Then add capsicum, & salt roast till soft.
- Put roasted ingredients in a mixer jar finely grind.
- For seasoning:- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, asafetida & curry leaves
- Add seasoned ingredients to the ground mixture mix well then serve with idli, uthappam & dosa.
How to make Green capsicum chutney-Stepwise pictures
Wash & chop capsicum
Heat oil in a pan, add chana dal, urad dal
Add garlic, green chilli
Add Onion
Add Dry red chilli
Add Coconut
Add tamarind
Add capsicum
Add salt
Saute capsicum
Put capsicum in a mixer jar, finely grind
For seasoning:- Add oil, mustard, curry leaves & Asafetida
Green capsicum chutney ready, serve hot with idli, dosa, rice or chapathi
