Potato masala | Aloo masala gravy for chapati-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Potato – 1 cup [boiled]
- Tomato puree – 1 cup [Boil 3 tomatoes, peel the skin, finely grind]
- Cashew nut paste – 3 tbsp
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Onion paste – ¼ cup [1 ½ onion]
- Ginger, garlic & Green chilli paste – 1 ½ tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bay leaf – 1
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Ghee / Butter– 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Heat oil, ghee in a pan add cumin seeds, bay leaf fry.
- Add onion paste sauté till raw smell out.
- Add ginger, garlic, & green chilli paste sauté
- Add boiled potato, coriander, turmeric, & red chilli powder sauté.
- Add tomato puree let it boil
- Add cashew nut paste let it boil.
- Add garam masala powder & salt
- Finally add coriander leaves , cut off heat, serve hot with rice, chapati
Note
- You can use fresh cream at the end
Tip
- You can add fried onion paste
- You can replace cashewnut paste with add almond paste or walnut paste

Heat oil & ghee add cumin, bay leaf fry then add onion paste, ginger, garlic & green chilli paste saute well
Add Boiled potato, turmeric, red chilli powder & salt saute well
Add coriander powder saute
Add tomato puree & water let ti boil
Let it cook till thickens
Add cashewnut paste
Add garam masala powder
Finally add coriander leaves, cut off heat
