Ingredients
- Cumin seeds - 1/4 cup
- Corainder seeds - 1/4 cup
- Peppercorns - 3 tbsp
- Asafoetida- 1 tsp
- Dry red chilli - 1 or 2
- Sea salt to taste
- Curry leaves[karuveppilai] - 2 springs
Preparation
- Dry raost all ingredients except asafoetida and turmeric powder.
- Put all roasted ingredients, asafoetida, turmeric powder coarsely grind
- Once rasam powder ready, let ti cool then store in an airtight container use within one month

Dry roast coriander seeds
Roast peppercorns
Dry roast curry leaves till crisp
Now its ready
Dry roast dry red chilli
Let it cool
Put all roasted ingredients in mixie jar
Add asafoetida
Add Turmeric powder, grind to coarse powder
Rasam powder ready
Let it cool, store in an airtight container use with in 1 month
Make rasam as usual then finally add rasam powder,
