Ingredients

  • Dosa batter – 1 cup
  • Onion – 3 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Idli milagai podi - 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Ghee -3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

  • Heat iron dosa pan, pour batter, pour 1 tbsp of ghee, add finely onion.
  • Then sprinkle idli milagai podi over the uthappam.
  • Pour another 1 tbsp of ghee around the uttapam then cover lid & cook both sides
  • Once uthappam is ready, transfer to a plate & serve hot with chutney and sambar
