Ingredients

  • Cumin seeds -1 cup
  • Corainder seeds - 1 cup
  • Peppercorns - 1/2 cup
  • Asafoetida-1 tbsp
  • Dry red chilli - 3
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal - 1.5 tbsp
  • Curry leaves[karuveppilai] - 2 springs

Preparation

  • Dry roast all ingredients except asafoetida and turmeric powder.
  • Put all roasted ingredients, asafoetida, turmeric powder finely grind
  • Once rasam powder ready, let ti cool then store in an airtight container use within one month
